Paris, 24 May 2023 – The members of the AESGP General Assembly have elected Jonathan Workman (Haleon) as new President of the Association of the European Self-Care Industry (AESGP) until 2025. He immediately succeeds Traugott Ulrich (Schwabe Pharma), AESGP President 2023.

Who is Jonathan Workman

Jonathan Workman is the General Manager for Northern Europe Business Unit (France, UK & Ireland, Benelux and the Nordics) for Haleon (previously known as GSK Consumer Healthcare – GSK CH).

Jonathan is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in sales, commercial, marketing and leadership roles. He joined GSK CH in 2010 after working for 15 years at Procter & Gamble. Addressing the AESGP General Assembly after he was elected, Jonathan Workman said: “It is truly an honour to lead AESGP at this crucial stage in our industry’s history. The healthcare industry has been through some incredible challenges over the past few years, and we have all witnessed the toll that events, such as a pandemic and rising inflation has had upon healthcare in general across Europe. As we now emerge from a post-COVID era, I believe this is an opportune moment for us as an industry, to demonstrate the value and impact that self-care can have in supporting our healthcare systems and consumers in Europe to lead healthier and fulfilling lives. I am committed to upholding our responsibility to society, delivering on our mission, and working together in a collaborative manner that works for consumers as well as for the environment.”

Traugott Ullrich (AESGP President 2023/ Schwabe Pharma) said: “AESGP was founded 59 years ago, right here in Paris, with the ambition to bring countries and people together to advance health and wellbeing across borders, to inspire each other and to make progress together. I am confident that Jonathan will be up to the task in this new mandate.”
