Brussels, 24 July 2025 – In celebration of International Self-Care Day, the Association of the European Self-Care Industry (AESGP) is proud to launch “Self-Care Insight & Inspire”, a new digital platform that brings together inspiring self-care initiatives from across Europe.

From awareness campaigns and health literacy programmes to sustainability and responsible self-care practices, the newly launched AESGP digital platform showcases national-level initiatives led or supported by the consumer healthcare industry in collaboration with healthcare professionals, sectoral associations, and public authorities.

“This is more than a static library,” says AESGP Director General Jurate Svarcaite. “Self-Care Insight & Inspire is a living testimony to the industry’s active role in public health promotion, not only through product innovation but through education, engagement, and empowerment.”

Each featured initiative contributes to a shared goal: supporting people’s improved wellbeing and access to safe, sustainable, and responsible self-care. Whether it is helping people manage minor ailments, properly dispose of unused or expired medicines, or better understand their health choices, these campaigns reflect a growing movement for preventive care, system sustainability, and individual wellbeing.

With projects submitted from all over the EU – and with many more to come – the platform will serve as a go-to space to learn, connect, and take action.

AESGP chose to officially launch the platform on the 24^th of July, marking International Self-Care Day – a date that reminds us that self-care is caring for yourself 24/7. During the following weeks, AESGP will be highlighting each of these awareness campaigns through its social media channels.

AESGP invites stakeholders to discover the platform, engage on social media, share it with their networks, and contribute with new initiatives that align with this mission. By mapping and amplifying these efforts, we aim to accelerate the impact of health literacy and self-care across Europe.
